Eligibility and the basics

Who can live at Meridian 55 Resort?

Meridian 55 Resort intends to operate as housing for older persons under the Housing for Older Persons Act. At least 80% of occupied units are intended to have at least one resident aged 55 or older. The community will publish its 55+ policies, market itself as intended for older persons, and verify resident ages. Occupancy of the remaining units is subject to community rules. Final eligibility policies will be published before leasing opens.

Is this independent living, assisted living, or memory care?

Independent living. Meridian 55 is a lifestyle-first, resort-style rental community for people who live independently. We do not provide assisted living, skilled nursing or memory care, and we do not market care services we do not offer.

Do I buy or rent?

Rent. Meridian 55 is a rental community, so there is no purchase, no HOA and no house to sell to a buyer before you can move. Lease terms will be published as leasing approaches.

When will Meridian 55 open?

The anticipated opening is 2027. Development schedules move, so we publish dated construction updates to Priority List members rather than promising a single date. We will not ask anyone to plan around a date we have not confirmed.

The residences

How large are the residences?

The anticipated program is 160 one- and two-bedroom residences ranging from roughly 900 to 1,400 square feet — considerably larger than most 55+ rentals in the valley, some of which start under 700 square feet. Sizes and unit mix are preliminary and subject to change as construction documents are finalised.

What is included in each residence?

Every residence is planned to include a full-size washer and dryer, quartz counters, stainless appliances, a walk-in closet and a covered parking space. Exterior maintenance, appliance service, grounds and landscaping are handled by the community.

When will floor plans and pricing be available?

Floor plans are released as they are approved, and Priority List members see each release before it is published anywhere else. Rental rates have not been set. We will not quote a rate before we can honour it.

Are pets allowed?

Yes — a dog park is part of the planned amenity program. The specific pet policy, including any breed, size or number limits and associated fees, will be published with the lease documents.

The Priority List

What does joining the Priority List actually get me?

Early floor-plan releases, dated construction updates, invitations to private preview events, and leasing information as it becomes available — each ahead of the general public. Joining takes about thirty seconds and asks for five pieces of information.

Does it cost anything, or commit me to anything?

No. Joining is free and non-binding. There is no deposit, we do not collect payment information, and joining is not a lease, a lease application, a reservation of a specific residence, or a guarantee of a particular rate, availability date or position.

What does my position in line mean?

Your position reflects the order in which we will contact members as floor plans are released and selection windows open. Members who refer others move up. Position is an administrative courtesy — it is not a legal right to a specific residence and does not survive as a claim if plans change.

How does referring friends work?

Every member gets a personal invite link. Each person who joins through it moves you up the list and unlocks access-based rewards: preview-event invitations, the ability to request residences adjacent to a friend, an early floor-plan selection window, and an optional name on the lobby Founders Wall. Rewards are priority and access only — never cash, gift cards, discounts of monetary value, or anything awarded by chance.

Will you sell my information?

No. We use what you give us to respond to your inquiry and manage your interest in the community. See the Privacy Notice for the detail, including how to ask us to access, correct or delete your information.

Shape Your Resort

How does the voting work?

You choose which categories of shops and services you want on site, and you can name specific local businesses you would actually visit. Voting requires an email already on the Priority List, and each person gets one vote per category, so the results are meaningful rather than repeatable.

Will the winning businesses definitely open at Meridian 55?

No. Votes and suggestions are advisory. They tell us what to prioritize and who to approach, but no vendor, brand or service is guaranteed to be selected or offered. Commercial leases depend on negotiations we do not control.

What happens to the write-in suggestions?

Every write-in goes into moderation. We screen for profanity and for competing residential communities, merge duplicate spellings of the same business into one entry, and only then does an approved name appear on the public leaderboard.
